Abstract


Data warehouse technology as the field of information technology is a major field of study has been a lot of research in this regard . Early research work of the data warehouse are established on the basis of a relational database , i.e., the data warehouse are based on some of the relational database management system . But with the expansion of application scale and performance further , based on relational database data warehouse has been unable to meet the current requirements . The data warehouse as a stand-alone system , and from the bottom-up data warehouse technology to achieve a data warehouse management system (DWMS) in one direction of the research in the field of data warehousing . The characteristics of the data warehouse applications , has been proposed to change the view of the underlying storage of the data warehouse . The most famous is using column store storage architecture . Column storage architecture is a table data structure as a unit of data stored in the external memory on the method . This storage architecture proved to enhance the performance of data warehouse applications and OLAP applications . Because the data warehouse query more concerned about some of the attributes of an entity , rather than the entire entity . This paper studies three issues , data warehouse management system architecture and functional modules , column storage techniques to realize the the column stored query optimization technology . Based on the the column stored query optimization techniques designed in this paper and the system query processing DWMS . In this paper, first the general architecture of the data warehouse , the function of each part of the data warehouse , data warehouse management system architecture based on this article . The second article describes the method of the column storage technology Research and column storage technology to achieve . Using the column storage technology designed DWMS the underlying storage engine . Finally this paper , we study the the column stored query optimization technology . AG-Tree indexing structure innovative column-based storage , given tuples materialized strategy compare models and query plan optimization , in this paper, based on the DWMS query processor the Design and Implementation .
