Abstract


Since reforming and opening to world, the Chinese pesticide industry has been considerably developing. China became an important pesticide producer in the world. There are many small pesticide manufactories with lower profitability, lower ability of R. & D, this leaded Chinese pesticide industry in lower centralized-control, producted homogeneity disorder competition.In recent years, the global pesticide industry is going through a major merger and restructuring process. The integration of the world’s pesticide companies entered the Chinese market with joint venture or sole venture. Large State-owned companies also speed up mergers of pesticide companies. The competition of Chinese pesticide industry has become more and more fierce, each pesticide enterprises is faced critical time of living.A pesticide company how to face the opportunities and challenges, participate in market competition, get the chance of survival and development? The way a pesticide company participates in market competition is to indent the competitive advantage of corporate, develop competitive strategy, foster and develop core competence for itself.The article explained the characteristics of the competitive strategies and the competitive strategy selection process, illustrates the process to discover and cultivate company’s core competence. The article made a good use of "External Factor ", "Interal Factor Evaluation Matrix (IFE matrix)", "SWOT Matrix", "Position and Action Evaluation Matrix, SPACE matrix) " tools expounded the process on competitive strategy selection.The article used "Value Chain Analysis" to analyze the core competence of JS business, put forward the cultivating competence, established the enterprises’competition strategy to participate in market competition. It proposed some effective measures for the company’s competitive strategy implementation and control. In final, the article put forward strategies and recommendations for pesticide companies who want to make marketers competitive strategy and participated in market competitionThe research of competitive strategy system is available for particular application of the JS Company, and for the masses of other Chinese pesticide manufacturer’s competitive strategy.
