Abstract


With the development of society, the demand of information resources continue to increase, networking and communications technologies constantly update and progress, access to information resources, ways and means of showing the characteristics of openness and pluralism. In the context of information technology, the competitiveness of the countries in the international environment to some extent is reflected by the ability to obtain the information resources. Therefore, Premier Wen Jiabao at the fourth meeting of the National Informatization Leading Group, pointed out that the national economy and social information is an important strategic measure to cover the overall modernization. To continue to strengthen the development and utilization of information resources. Archives and libraries as the cause of the country's cultural institutions, while bears rich literature information resources and network information resources play an important role in the national process. File information resources, because of its nature and characteristics, the use can provide more convincing evidence, reference to the role, but also because of this, in the process of providing access to services need more attention to the security and confidentiality of archival information resources. In recent years, the comprehensive archives of social functions, cultural functions more and more have been proposed, and how to provide the public with an easy-to-use information environment is the archives that need improvement. Efficient use is based on a full, rich collection of information systems. Therefore, improvement of the quality of the Archives Information Resources, to build a rich collection of new comprehensive archives of the high degree of digitization is to meet the needs of social development. This article is from the point of view of information resources, comprehensive archives with functions similar to a public library to do from traditional collections, digital collections and increasing utilization of virtual collections begin to carry out a comparative study by the General Archives and Public Library analysis of the source, nature and characteristics of archival information resources on the microscopic details of the work in the collection process, summed up the archives and libraries in the macro, such as social status, different run mode. The same time, for the study of public libraries more mature digital library collections of information resources, analyzed and summarized favor comprehensive archives available for reference and use of the theory of the social requirements of today's information technology development, achievements, so that in the consolidated file Hall toward the direction of social development needs and effectively to provide the public with the use of a service agency.
