Objective: To investigate IVIG combined methylprednisolone therapy SJS / TEN clinical efficacy and precautions. Methods: A retrospective analysis of Shandong Provincial Hospital in January 2005 - April 2010 period hospitalized after gamma globulin intravenous methylprednisolone combined 42 patients hospitalized with severe drug eruption patient data , including SJS 9例, SJS and TEN overlapping 13 patients , TEN 20 cases 18 males and 24 females , aged 3 to 74 years, mean (37.7 ± 7.6) years of age. There were 40 cases of clear medical history , drug class unknown in 2 cases. Using immunoglobulin 0.25 ~ 0.4g/kg/d ( five days ) and methylprednisolone 80 ~ 120mg / d combined treatment , children with steroid prednisone dosage 1.5-2mg/kg/d amount . While strengthening the supportive therapy, prevention of secondary infection, intensive care and topical medication. Results : IVIG combined methylprednisolone therapy SJS / TEN have better clinical efficacy, patient body temperature returned to normal time 1 ~ 5 (2 ± 1.64) d, mucocutaneous stop stripping , no new release exfoliative skin lesions, lesion area the time is no longer expand 2 ~ 7 (4 ± 2.73) d, hospital days 7 ~ 42 (21.30 ± 18.27) d. 42 cases of 38 patients with severe drug eruption discharged ; 2 cases basically recovered ; 2 deaths . Conclusions: Intravenous immunoglobulin combined methylprednisolone therapy SJS / TEN rapid onset of efficacy, increase the amount of the hormone dose is beneficial for disease control , close observation helps to reduce the incidence of complications and reduce mortality.
