Abstract


Wireless sensor network (Wireless Sensor Network, WSN) is a special kind of Ad-hoc network usually contains a large number of low -power micro sensor nodes rely on mutual cooperation between sensor nodes to complete the communication , wireless multi-hop network do not rely on any fixed facilities , has the characteristics of self-organization and self- management . The this particular Zuwangfangshi makes wireless sensor network is widely used in target tracking , detection of critical areas , hazardous environments in areas such as research and development . As a new area of ??research , wireless sensor networks has given rise to a high degree of attention in both academia and industry , and is known as one of the most promising development in the 21st century technology . Time synchronization as a supporting technology for wireless sensor network applications are critical to the design and application of wireless sensor networks , traditional synchronization methods NTP and GPS complexity and energy issues , cost and size factors are not suitable for the use of sensor networks . However , some of the characteristics of the wireless sensor networks , such as limited energy , volume limited to network time synchronization algorithm design severe test . In this paper expounded the basic composition to the wireless sensor networks , network structure and main features , in-depth analysis and summarizes the existing wireless sensor network synchronization algorithms, and their characteristics were evaluated and compared . On the basis of previous studies , binding TPSN (Timing-sync Protocol for Sensor Networks) algorithm, in order to reduce the overhead of the network synchronization , there is proposed an improved synchronization algorithm ITPSN (Improved TPSN) . NS-2 network simulation tool for simulation , and TPSN algorithm comparative experiments verify that the proposed algorithm satisfy the precision application requirements , while saving the communication overhead to achieve economic synchronous mode .
