Abstract


Frostig and Kenzin [1] presented a preventive maintenance policy for inspected systems with additive subexponential shock magnitudes. Based on this model, we introduce a new preventive maintenance method named T-method. For the shock magnitudes with subexponential distributions, we obtain simple approximations and some properties for the availability and the cost rate in the T-method.
