Abstract

As people on the wireless communications requirements continue to increase , the wireless communication system has been rapid development, wireless communications equipment design and development has become more complex, so the wireless communication system test equipment, the share of R \u0026 D process increasing over time. In order to accelerate the development of wireless communication devices , shorten the development cycle , designers need in a lab environment simulating the actual communication channel for wireless communication system prototyping environment for debugging and testing. So to become a radio channel emulator for wireless communication system hardware design , debug, and test one of the important instruments . In the wireless channel on the wireless communication system receiver design the greatest impact is small-scale fading channel changes . Firstly, based on analysis of the characteristics of the radio propagation radio propagation model and channel parameters described , the focus of small -scale fading channel as well as the physical characteristics of small-scale fading channel multipath propagation , Doppler shift and multipath delay the mathematical model . In order to obtain for the frequency selective channel to build simulation models flat fading channel simulation model, we also improved Jakes simulation model was analyzed . This radio channel emulator FPGA research and design is mainly based on Clarke model , using Xiao, Zhang and Beaulieu et al improvement over the Jakes simulation model. Flat fading channel emulator implementation process simulation model combined with the characteristics of the FPGA chip used module reuse and pipelining technology to make flat fading channel simulator takes fewer resources in case of satisfactory results . This flat fading channel simulator based frequency selective channel emulator for wireless communication systems in a prototype real-time simulation , the simulation results with the actual situation .
