Abstract


The landscape of the real world can show a high brightness level , and our visual system can adapt to this dynamic range . Able to store real-world dynamic range HDR image technology matures, it makes the observer feel and the viewer the feeling of being in a real environment is basically the same . Although the image generation technology has been able to provide better and better , but because of the conventional display output device can output only a small dynamic range of the brightness of the image , the image display does not reflect the real-world dynamic effects , then the conventional display device low dynamic range limitations exposed. In the case of high dynamic output equipment is expensive , domestic and foreign researchers have proposed many different tone mapping operator ( Tone Mapping Operator , TMO ) to compress the high dynamic range of the HDR image tone mapping algorithm research will certainly huge potential and broad application prospects. In this paper, the current representative HDR tone mapping algorithm , and found that most of the tone mapping algorithms are just the luminance channel image compression , compression brightness also affect the color information of the image , resulting in a decrease in image contrast details missing. Reinhard tone mapping algorithm based on a number of improvements , the improved algorithm while adding the the chrominance information processing , to enhance the contrast of the image , the better the compression of the dynamic range of the image , thus to achieve the effect of reshaping the image . Experimental results show that the proposed algorithm based on the Reinhard improved tone mapping can be applied to high dynamic range image adjustment in most cases , resulting in low dynamic range image with good visual effects . Through Research and Implementation of the tone mapping algorithm not only help this technology , and high dynamic range image can be better used in satellite meteorology, medical device development and other social spheres .
