Abstract


The earthquake is a serious , unexpected natural disasters , is one of the most serious disaster caused no casualties . Strong and frequent earthquake disaster in China , is one of the world 's most serious national earthquake disaster . Earthquake Disaster Reduction is a powerful work to reduce earthquake losses . The emergency rescue Earthquake Disaster Mitigation critical , it is a direct means of reducing casualties . The emergency rescue work is a very complex process , fast and efficient implementation of the emergency rescue is the pursuit of the goal of the rescue command staff , is also one of the main directions of the Earthquake Disaster Mitigation Research . In recent years , with the advancement of science and technology , GIS technology in the earthquake area has been increasingly widely used . Practice at home and abroad to prove GIS technology in earthquake prediction , seismic modeling , disaster assessment , disaster statistics , emergency rescue command decision support application . However, GIS technology applied to seismic field time is not long, and its application in all respects to be further improved . Earthquake emergency rescue thematic information for the rescue command staff is very important , it can provide the basis for rapid rescue command staff command . For a long time , relatively isolated systems developed in the various departments of the earthquake , it has not formed a unified standard system of information sharing mechanism . No earthquake emergency rescue thematic information classified documents and related outcomes published in the literature . In this paper, on the basis of repeated research , the earthquake emergency rescue thematic information classification and coding research , developed a set of information coding system . Earthquake emergency rescue thematic maps the fast mapping system is designed for the rescue command quickly after earthquake earthquake damage information system of thematic maps . For such a mapping system , a good thematic map symbol library system is the key to the implementation of fast and accurate mapping ; addition, the earthquake emergency rescue thematic information symbolic map to commanding officers understand and use . The the symbol library system of this study it is designed and developed according to the needs of these two . This symbol library system is a subsystem of the earthquake thematic maps fast mapping system , basic symbol library and symbol editing environment to solve the problem of insufficient the existing seismic thematic symbol for the rapid mapping of the entire thematic maps .
