Abstract

Pedestrian safety as an important part of the Intelligent Transportation Systems , more and more attention in various countries , the detection of his primary goal is to ensure that its security . Pedestrian detection algorithm , single sensor commonly used methods, such as the monocular vision and laser radar . In this thesis, the smart car as a platform , using camera and lidar integration pedestrian detection , pedestrian detection and multi-vehicle collaboration expand the research . The total is divided into four parts. The first section introduces the joint between the camera sensor and laser radar sensor calibration process , and both the sensor synchronization method , it is the region of interest extracted key steps to reduce the complexity of the algorithm through collaboration between the two types of sensors . The second part describes the main pedestrian detection algorithm , the candidate region identified by the joint calibration image features and template matching method based on Hausdorff distance positioning pedestrians . The third section presents a pedestrian detection method based on a multi-vehicle collaboration , it can achieve vehicle still detected in the case of it is blocked pedestrian and early warning . In this paper, the use of GPS and road beacons are two ways to achieve . Part IV introduces aided detection on roads surrounding environment , including the stop line detection and road traffic sign detection , to further ensure the safety of pedestrians certain practical significance .
