Abstract


Also known as high-temperature alumina , calcined α-Al2O3 is alumina eight kinds isoform in the most stable state . Has excellent mechanical properties , high temperature performance and insulation properties, it is widely used as electronic ceramics , structural ceramics , refractories , abrasives , abrasive , grinding media , machinery and equipment of the lining of the raw materials . With the development of industrial technology , calcined α-Al2O3 applications increasingly broad , the amount is growing . Alumina production line for aluminum in Shandong Branch High rotary kiln calcined α-Al2O3 original coarse grain size , α -phase , high sodium oxide , laboratory research and industrial test . First experimental study on the availability of various raw materials production of α-Al2O3 , α-Al2O3 process conditions , based on industrial test determined for ceramic ball , calcination temperature and calcination time , the choice of raw materials and mineral the agent added methods investigated product performance , and ultimately determine the optimum conditions of the rotary kiln calcined α-Al2O3 as follows: ( 1) selection of raw materials : sintering process seed aluminum hydroxide as raw material calcined α-Al2O3, microscopic particles as more regular spherical primary crystal size is small ; aluminum hydroxide the best granularity D50 range of 80 to 95 μm . (2) the calcination temperature : 1300 to 1400 ° C , the amount of fuel need to be adjusted according to the number of feeding amount , the industrial test , a cyclone outlet temperature control range of 380 to 400 ° C . (3) mineralizing agent : add 0.2% -0.5% of the kiln inlet of the boride of the original grain size of 1.5 ≤ D50 ≤ 2μm of α -Al2O3 can be obtained , and the boride is preferably to improve the conversion rate of α-phase , in the industrial production recommend the use of boric acid as a mineralizing agent . (4) calcining time : extend the calcination time can promote the growth of the primary crystal size of α-Al2O3 and improve the conversion rate of α-phase conditions to ensure product quality , the actual control for 30-60 min . The results of the study on domestic production of α-Al2O3 calcined has important theoretical and practical significance .
