Abstract


Prior to 2007 , the the Shandong Branch cryogenic Bayer process red mud produced all entered the sintering process ingredients efflux only sintering of red mud . Bayer process red mud as burning coal, steam and other energy prices increased significantly and Bayer process alumina production increased digestion has become no longer economic Bayer process red mud can only efflux . Due to the low temperature Bayer process without lime , calcium oxide content of the red mud is extremely low, resulting in low temperature Bayer process red mud stockpiling strength is too low , combined red mud dehydration poor performance , dehydration after not consolidation , simply can not be built dam, therefore, can only temporarily sintering of red mud building outside the dam , the internal dry stockpiling program of Bayer process red mud , but there is a dry high cost of stockpiling , transport dust big problem . The subject studied in the laboratory the Shandong Branch Bayer process red mud , red mud sintering method mineralogy , different proportions of two red mud mixed test , the study focused on the strength and other indicators of mixed red mud , the two the red mud mixing mechanism study , a new method developed two kinds of red mud mixed semidry stockpiling . Based on laboratory tests breakthrough in the Shandong branch of red mud sintering, Bayer process red mud mixed damming , and stockpiling scene industrial test , completed a total red mud stockpiling of approximately 55,000 m3 test dam vertical height of 6m . Xi'an Survey and Design Institute of the dam and reservoir area of up to 300 meters of the test in the in industrial testing process , geotechnical investigations and simulation to prove that the two kinds of red mud mixed semidry heap exist technically completely feasible. Industrial successful trials , the subject , the red mud in Shandong Branch industrial applications , three red mud to implement all of the two red mud mixed stockpiling sintering method red mud filter with Bayer process last The bottom stream blending different proportions , mixing red mud is pumped to the yard damming and stockpiling .
