Abstract

The different structure of the forest , the forest functions . Research forest structure -function relationships with important insight into the various functions of forests , and forest growth and development and forest management law , and for the development of scientific management measures , to create a stable and healthy forest , to maximize forest functions provide theoretical basis . This study to Badaling Forest Farm xigou 's water conservation forest as the object of study , the use of \age , canopy density ( coverage ) , the thickness of the litter layer , soil thickness , non-capillary porosity eight indicators as water conservation forest structure and conservation of water function relationship of quantitative indicators , using the method of grading standards , in order to quantitatively mainly to a combination of qualitative and quantitative methods , draw water conservation forest structure and function of the quantitative results , draw Badaling Forest Farm the Xigou water conservation forest structure and function level maps , analysis of the study area structure and functional status . The results show that the water conservation function evaluation of the Badaling the tree farms xigou water conservation forest is good in small classes 9 ; 105 in small classes ; seven for the poor in small classes . The characteristics of the study area in small classes each level staggered distribution , from an overall point of view , water conservation function as a good accounting for 8.28% of the area of ??medium accounted for 83.97% of the area accounted for only 7.76% of the area is poor , this shows that the more reasonable water conservation forest of the study area .
