Abstract


Nowadays, foreign direct investment (FDI) and economic development have been receiving more and more attention. Since reform and opening up, International trade is keeping up, and foreign direct investment plays a very important role in developing China’s international trade. China is the one of the biggest developing country in absorbing FDI inflows. FDI maybe takes technological spillover effect. It’s important that technological spillovers will develop Host Country’s economic growth or not.FDI is very important to develop Liaoning’s economic growth. To 2003, there were more than 130 international corporations like Coca Cole from America in China. In 2007, there were 1844 contract projects, 20.780 billion dollars in contract, and 9.1 billion dollars in fact. In 1985, there were 71 contract projects, 487 million dollars in contract. According to foreign investment, FDI is important in economic growth of Liaoning. According the earlier research, the paper is an effective empirical research in FDI technological spillovers effective and economic growth in Liaoning. First, the article introduced the general theories and the current situation of FDI in Liaoning province.Following, it established a regression model about FDI technological spillovers with the data of 1985-2009.And according to the estimation output, there was Granger course between FDI and economic growth of Liaoning. FDI technological spillovers effective were positive, and technology spillovers effective were the important with human resource and market competition. Take advantage of human resource, enhance the market competition were useful in FDI technological spillovers effective. In the following chapter, it analyzed the relations between technological spillovers and economic growth among 14 cities of Liaoning province. Last, according the effective empirical research, obtained the main idea. And it offered a few recommendations for absorbing FDI and using technological spillovers.
