Abstract


In recent decades, the rise of cognitive linguistics for metaphor interpretation and research provides a new perspective and methods . The metaphor is not only a linguistic phenomenon , it is a form of cognitive human understanding of themselves and the world . Cultural factors to the metaphor research within the framework of cognitive linguistics expand theory Reflection and Construction ; same time, under the guidance of cognitive metaphor theory to explore the cultural vocabulary translation . First, this paper, a brief review of cognitive metaphor theory of the development process and the results achieved to provide theoretical support for full-text . Secondly, since the metaphor and culture are closely related, on the interpretation of metaphor can not leave it in the cultural environment , the commonalities and differences of interpretation of the English and Chinese Metaphors connotation Therefore, from a cultural perspective and analysis of the factors that caused the discrepancy . Finally, the cognitive metaphor theory to explore the cultural lexicon translation research and practice , summed up the cultural lexicon translation strategies .
