As the core of the national economy, economic and social development in the role which GDP accounting system plays can not be ignored. However, the rapid growth of the GDP, while there are many problems. First, investment in Chinese rapid economic growth is inseparable from the rapid growth. Second, the total amounts of natural resources are at the forefront in the world, but less per capita than many. Third, the impact of natural disasters every year in China because the economic losses caused by natural disasters, the proportion of GDP, grow up 3% to 6%, resulting from natural disasters reduce the carrying on, but the post-disaster reconstruction, leading to the growth of investment demand , and thus boost the implicit GDP growth. Fourth, high-speed pursuit of GDP growth will inevitably bring about high consumption of resources and the environment, high pollution. Fifth, in the wrong view of achievements, all officials’work around GDP as the center, with integration the political and economic, ignoring the people’s livelihood and public services. Sixth, Chinese economic structure is showing a growth imbalance. Seventh, high GDP growth, people’s incomes and living standards have improved to some extent, but the gap between rich and poor is also widening.Based on the analysis and study, this issue take the further expansion of GDP. We make the following conclusions: First, economic growth is important for national development, but the big economic nation does not mean the powerful economic country. Fast growth of economic and rapidly expanding of economic scale do not mean the improvement of comprehensive national strength. Second, GDP can not fully reflect the situation that the value is created and resources are used, GDP also can not create the direct reflection that the environmental costs of these values, such as energy, resource over-consumption, serious pollution of the environment, restricting the ability of China’s sustainable development. At last, Chinese GDP development rapidly in the speed and scale, people’s living standard has been more substantial increase, but GDP does not accurately reflect the growth of wealth.This issue take the study in the scientific concept of development perspective of the role of GDP and GDP how to play a role in the national accounts. Sorting out the relationships between GDP growth and economic growth, GDP growth and economic development, GDP and the scientific development concept are the premise of correctly understanding GDP. From the scientific concept of development out investigating the vision of the value and significance of GDP, proposing to the guidance of scientific concept of development, going out from the GDP response errors, adjusting and optimizing the economic structure, changing the mode of economic development, adhering the scientific concept of development, taking the economy sustainable development, establishing and improving the examination system, building a wide range of monitoring system, can make GDP becoming realer and more meaningful."
