Abstract


Waterfront - the city's precious resources. In a certain period of time and conditions, it is often the core of urban space , urban space is an important part of the structure . With the city 's transition, economic restructuring , waterfront redevelopment and re- developed as a response to many of the city 's economic restructuring and urban society an important means of global competition . More and more cities are beginning to realize the value of waterfront . Xuhui Riverside development area is located in the core area of ??the Huangpu River south extension , ecological and cultural environment is superior, the development of the Huangpu River in Shanghai, the backdrop , the value of the land gradually appearing. This paper selects Xuhui Riverside area was developed as the research object, is a combination of practice and theory research . Focus through field reconnaissance , research , etc. to study the history and current situation of the situation , learn from London's Canary Wharf , Baltimore's Inner Harbor , the Chicago lakefront , Paris Rive Gauche four functional types of waterfront development experience, Xuhui Riverside Area SWOT analysis , based on the identification of internal and external factors to Riverside area functional positioning and industry planning to study the correlation between the main line to explore the Xuhui Riverside region.
