Also discusses the Chinese medicine understanding of obesity, including the pathogenesis of obesity, and syndrome differentiation.Literature review 2 describes progress in obesity research, including clinical research and experimental research. In clinical studies, discusses the progress of a variety of therapies in clinical research; in experimental studies, discusses the research progress in mechanism of acupuncture weight loss.Clinical Study The topic is for the acupuncture treatment of simple obesity clinical comparative study. Objective:By comparing the clinical efficacy of abdominal group acupuncture point selection-based treatment and auricular acupuncture pressure bean method, to investigate the clinical efficacy of using acupuncture on simple obesity(central obesity). Try to provide a more effective method to treat patient’s abdomen obesity, increase some kinds of clinical treatment methods, and improve the clinical efficacy of treatment of obesity.Methods:60 patients complied with central obesity were randomly divided into abdominal group acupuncture point selection-based treatment group and auricular acupuncture pressure bean method group,30 cases in each group. After two courses of treatment, compared the body weight, BMI, WC, WHR of the two groups’before and after treatment, and further more, compared statistical effects of treatment group and control group in weight, WC and WHR.Results:After two courses of treatment, respectively, the abdominal group acupuncture point selection-based treatment group and auricular acupuncture pressure bean method group before and after treatment of body weight, BMI, body circumference and WHR were analyzed statistically. The results showed that the two groups before and after treatment in each of the indicators are significantly different (P<0.001). In the effect comparative that reducing weight, WC and WHR, X2 tests were carried out respectively, and it can be seen that the efficacy of the two groups in weight change was not significantly different (P>0.05), but changes in WC and WHR was significantly different in efficacy (P<0.001).Conclusions:Abdominal group acupuncture point selection-based treatment group and auricular acupuncture pressure bean method group in the treatment of central obesity have both shown good clinical efficacy, improved indicators of body weight and body circumference. In comparing the clinical efficacy on body weight, the two groups have no significant difference; but on WC, WHR as an indicator of the effect of comparison, the efficacy of the abdominal group acupuncture point selection-based treatment group was superior to that of the auricular acupuncture pressure bean method group.
