Abstract


Delayed menstruation means that menstrual cycle delays more than 7 days, even 40 or 50 days menstruous. This called" Delayed menstruation" or "menstruation delay" or" menstruous delay". This illness belongs to one kind of the illness Irregular menstruation. It’s feature is that menstrual cycle days delay, while menstruous days are normal. Usually, this illness accompanied with mild menses. It can not be defined delayed menstruation if menstrual cycle delays 3 or 5 days with no other discomfort. This illness mostly occurs in adolescent women and women of childbearing age. The prognosis is generally well. Most people could bring normal menstrual cycle back except that few people can hardly recover their menstrual cycle if thoroughfare vessel and conception vessel failure. Even this situation leads to amenorrhea or early amenorrhea. This illness is equivalent to oligomenorrhea in western medicine. With the quickening pace of life and Increasing social pressure, reserch in this illness has become very meanningful in practical clinical treatment as this illness is getting more common. In the situation of increasingly complex of modern diseases and limi ted effect of western medicine’s treatment, In this paper, I use the research methods of philology, search out etiology and pathogenesis of delayed menstruation, give full play to dialectical treatment of Chinese Medicine advantages and achieve good clinical efficacy.In the part of the literature review, through analyzing reports of treatment that use chinese medicine therapy delayed menstruation in resent 20 years, we find out effective treatment method including chinese herbal medicine, acupuncture and massage therapy. This search provides guidance for clinic treatment of delayed menstruation.The dissertation is composed of four parts.The first part is tracing the sources of the theory. To begin with, baseing on the theory elaborated in the internal canon of the yellow emperor and supplements by doctors in every dynasty, we come to know the principle of menstruation and its relationship with theory of viscera and channels and collaterals. It will supply us theories to cure emmeniopathy if I have mastered physiopathology of emmeniopathy. What’s more, I collate theories on delayed menstruation which were elaborated by doctors from every destney, find out the pathogenesis of delayed menstruation and then lay the foundation for treatment of delayed menstruation. At last, in order to discuss clearly and comprehensively, we find out and collate theories on amenorrhea and irregular menstruation as they have close relationship with delayed menstruation, and make some complements on theories of delayed mens truat ion.The second part is clinical treatment. First, there are some examples from case record. On the mothod of analysising famous ancient case record, we find out therapeutic principles and methods of delayed menstruation. Second, there is interpretation. By analysising famous ancient case record, we come up with medication regularities and use them to guid clinical treatment.The third part is the conclusion and discussion. Through the study of documental compiling and the analysis, we have realized the theories on menstruation, delayed menstruation, irregular menstruation, amenorrhea and relationships among them. And we come up with a more comprehensive and clearly summary about etiology and pathogenesis of delayed menstruation and treatment based on syndrome differentiation of delayed menstruation. Meanwhile, this have a revelation to other treatment of gynecological illnesses. Basing on theories, and aiming on getting good clinical effect, we hope to obtain close integration of theory and clinical effect. The vital principle of studying the theory of TCM is totally to analyze the historical background and practical significance of different doctrines by tracing to the sources of the theory. The theory of TCM should be dissertated comprehensively according to its clinical application, and then the theory of TCM can be serve in clinic better.
