Abstract

Containing soft soil sites is a common type of venue , a large number of earthquake damage and seismic observations show that the presence of soft soil layers in the soil structure is a significant effect on the seismic response . Response study the presence of soft soil site reactions important for guiding the seismic design of building structures . In this paper, the Kelvin-Voigt model to simulate soil viscoelastic properties , using the equivalent linear analysis of site response . The three types of seismic waves as input seismic waves , in four venue soil structure , calculated venue containing different embedment depth , as well as the thickness of the soft soil site response . The calculation results of the analysis , and then come to the presence of soft soil investigated the seismic response . The study shows that the soft soil thickness increases with soft soil site response spectrum characteristic period gradually increases , the peak of the response spectrum is gradually reduced ; soft soil embedment depth increases , the soft soil venue characteristic period of the response spectrum is gradually increased , the peak of the response spectrum is gradually reduced . When the soft soil embedment depth and thickness than those hours, the peak of the response spectrum than no soft soil site response spectrum peak , when the large depth or thickness of soft layers embedded response spectrum peak greater than no soft soil layer venues response spectral peak .
