Abstract


It is a crucial period for Henan province to face both strategy opportunities with golden development and prominent contradictions in 11th Five-Year Plan time.On the one hand,the acceleratinged urbanization process and opportunity of rising of Central China will makes Henan province be steady and quick economic development and the society be harmonious progress;on the other hand,because of structural contradictions,the level of urbanization is not hige and urban system not mature,which makes the province to surface very big challenges.Therefore,it’s significant to research the scale structure of Henan urban system under the background of urbanization.This paper takes the 38 cities of Henan as a case,combined the methods of qualitative analysis with quantitative analysis,the scale structure (mainly including population scale,economic scale, existing problems and optimized countermeasures )of Henan urban system’s were studied, from the angle of geography and economy.This paper mainly includes the following six parts:Part I and II: The preface and related research. This part mainly expounds the background and significance, methods and technical line of this paper.After that,reviews domestic and foreign studies of scale structure,finding that the related research is less on which studied from multidisciplinary perspective.Part III: The features and spatial variation of cities’population scale in Henan province were studied.Firstly,the paper reviews the process of urbanization in Henan province since the founding of China.Then,through different formulas,the urban population basic data was calculated.As a result,the cities’population primate degree,pyramid,fractal dimension and Gini index were formed.Finally,analyse the spatial variation features of population scale distribution and some results were made into graphics. Part IV: The features of cities’economic scale and industry composing variation were mainly studied.Using standard deviation and entropy metric system to study the economic scale spatial variation. The urban economic scale of Henan Province was explored with the method of gray correlative analysis.Calculating the city’s industrial structure gray related degree and different industries’gray related degree.Finally discussed the city’s industry composing differentiation.Part V: The optimized countermeasures of scale structure in Henan province were studied.Based on the existing problems discussed,this paper puts forward related advices.Part VI: Conclusions. This part summarizes the main conclusions of the paper , the innovations and the research work which need to continue.
