Abstract

This study through hydroponics test screening of the heavy metal cadmium with certain enrichment capacity and tolerance of wetland plants, construct two composite vertical flow constructed wetlands, different configuration, the combination of different plants artificial wetland plant growth, to remove the effect of cadmium and heavy metals cadmium, spatial distribution of organic matter in the matrix, to explore the removal of cadmium was better integrated vertical flow constructed wetland configuration and plant combinations; Preliminary composite vertical flow constructed wetland purification mechanism of the heavy metals cadmium, provide a theoretical basis and practical experience for the future application of constructed wetland treatment of heavy metal wastewater. The study results show that: 1, the hydroponic test screening results show that the red egg (Echinodorus osiris), windmill grass (ToninaFluviatilis), canna (Canna L) and Coleus (Coleus blumei Benth) heavy metal cadmium have good tolerance, absorbent and cumulative. Cadmium stress, Canna cadmium tolerance and absorption capacity of the strongest, followed by red egg, windmill grass, Coleus again the weakest. Simulation of artificial wetlands running results show that the two configurations of artificial wetlands to remove the effect of cadmium are better. However, the species in wetland systems Cadmium Removal effect significantly better than not species of plants of the wetland system; same kind of plant combinations, different configurations of the artificial wetland treatment system to remove cadmium's effect is Ⅱ VCW significantly with better than Ⅰ VCW; different plant combinations , the same configuration of the constructed wetland treatment system to remove the effect of cadmium is Canna - red egg combination was significantly better than Coleus - windmill grass combination. Overall: II the VCW structure type cadmium removal significantly better than Ⅰ VCW; Canna - red egg combination to remove cadmium significantly better than windmill grass - Coleus. 3, the spatial distribution of the heavy metals cadmium and organic carbon content in the wetland substrate are certain rules: the upper layer (0 to 5cm)> middle (5 ~~ 15cm) lower (15 to 20cm) as the matrix layer depth of increase, diminishing cadmium content, organic carbon content decreasing. Correlation analysis found that proline and cadmium content associated significantly with; of artificial wetlands matrix cadmium and organic carbon content was significantly negatively correlated; matrix in the effective state of cadmium and the full amount of cadmium was significant with a positive correlation; effective state cadmium content and plant height increase. 5 Based on the findings canna II the VCW structure type and red once the best combination of processing wastewater containing inorganic cadmium.
