Abstract

Chloroacetic acid is a kind of high cancer risk chlorinated disinfection byproducts , which dichloroacetic acid and trichloroacetic acid composition of drinking water disinfection byproducts are carcinogenic risk of the main material. For chloro acetic acid to bring drinking water insecurity for photocatalytic degradation and photodegradation studies . Comparing the two methods of degradation efficiency degradation . Photodegradation chlorinated acetic proposed possible reaction mechanism . Deduced degradation kinetics equation . The effects of acidic and alkaline initial conditions initial conditions on the degradation efficiency. Explore the degradation process variation of the pH value . Results show that the monochloroacetic acid and dichloroacetic acid , acidic and alkaline initial conditions of the initial conditions is higher than the efficiency of the photocatalytic degradation efficiency photodegradation ; but on the contrary trichloroacetic acid , acid and alkaline initial conditions the initial condition of the light degradation efficiency was higher than the efficiency of photocatalytic degradation . Photodegradation monochloroacetic acid in the process, hydrated electrons play an important role in the degradation mechanism may be caused by free radicals is hydrated electron reaction mechanism . Light photocatalytic degradation of chlorinated acid degradation and are in line with a reaction kinetics . The pH of different initial conditions photocatalytic degradation and photodegradation are affected chloro acetic acid , the acidic conditions favor the degradation of the initial reaction. Photocatalytic degradation and photodegradation process pH of the system are constantly changing and showed a gradual decrease. The experiment can be seen, the light of monochloroacetic acid degradation method has a good removal effect, and the photocatalytic method compared to cheaper, convenient. This research work will reduce disinfection byproducts in drinking water to provide new ideas and approaches .
