Abstract


With the improvement of the transmission voltage levels required field strength of the insulating material to withstand higher and higher. The role of the applied voltage under the outer surface of the insulator occurs there will be a charge accumulation phenomenon , especially in DC gas insulated switchgear apparatus , insulators long withstand the the unipolar DC high voltage , the charge accumulation phenomenon is more serious . The accumulation of the surface charge of changing the original electric field distribution , and often causes the electric field concentration of the surface of the insulator , insulator creepage cause severe abnormality flashover . Study gas - solid at the interface insulator surface charge accumulation of great significance for improving the insulating properties of the high-voltage insulators . This article first summarizes the factors affecting the insulator surface charge accumulation . The shape of the insulator material , the applied voltage waveform , amplitude , polarity , the electrode structure , the gas pressure , humidity and so interested in the insulator surface of the charge accumulating impact. The greater the relative permittivity of the insulator , the more serious the charge accumulation ; greater the amplitude of the applied voltage , the more likely the accumulation of charge ; non-uniform electric field , the more prone to the accumulation of charge . In the field of high voltage insulation of the areas are measured at the electrostatic surface charge measurements , the measurement can not be carried out using conventional instrumentation . In this paper , on the basis of research results , the electrostatic probe structure improvement, analysis shows that the probe design has a higher resolution . In order to study the insulator gas - solid at the interface surface charge accumulation mechanism and the insulator along the surface flashover , DC , the impact of the high voltage generator and the surface charge measurement system and finite element software simulation insulator the surface electric field on the insulator surface charge accumulation mechanism were analyzed. Research and analysis shows that many factors affect the insulating surface charge accumulation , but the law of the insulator surface to the field strength component is caused by the gas-solid interface at the root cause of the surface charge accumulation ; insulator surface under the same conditions throughout accumulate the maximum amount of charge and different , sometimes very different ; insulator surface before putting a layer of conductive coating , can inhibit the insulator surface charge accumulation .
