Abstract


In the long history of the development of hundreds of years , traditional village settlements from occurring to the development to the present , has experienced from scratch, the complete process from flourishing to decline . Industrialized societies today , traditional village settlements development has stagnated in this area for many reasons . Fortunately , most of the villages are still well-preserved historical forms , many settlements group also maintained a very complete functional system , single village itself is a self - contained system , and the complete system from production to development stagnation has a complete history of the process , the process is a naturally occurring process , the process of fusion of man and nature eventually reach a point of balance . So, the key to maintain equilibrium point , what is it ? Through this research perhaps can find the answer to this question . However, even if we find the Village and Small Town maintain a balance of key practical significance ? After all , we now living environment , especially in large cities and small towns and villages settlements is completely different . However, if we change a way of thinking , will find ideas that are truly meaningful , these ideas can even contribute to our city planning . First, the demand for power and control of the planning in the traditional village settlements between flexibility is needed in the modern living environment planning ; Second, those traditional settlement seemingly narrow trivial space with our modern form simple , clear-cut functions spatial planning out of tune , but these spaces frequent interpersonal , which is advocated in modern living environment of open space ; once again , has a self -correcting mechanisms of the traditional Village and Small Town , this mechanism suppression settlement to the excessive scale of construction and excessive size of the population development and excessive expansion of the population and the scale of construction in a modern living environment especially in large cities has long been a chronic illness . These three aspects only lists the main research context . In fact, if the purpose , this article is an attempt to discover hidden in the history of the development of traditional village settlements behind the law and, more importantly , to find some reference for modern living environment planning ideas from these laws .
