This paper through the combination of pot and field experiments to study the different lime levels , bio-organic fertilizer on soil fertility as well as the cassava physiological characteristics , growth, yield and quality . Pot experiment was set up three kinds of lime ( calcium carbonate ) level , that is, 0.25 and 37.5 g / pot ( 0 g CaO / kg of soil , 1 g CaO / kg soil and 2 g CaO / kg soil) . Proportion of bio-organic fertilizer ( organic N to total N percentage , the same below) , or 0% , 25% , 50% , 75% and 100% . The field experiment was set up three kinds of bio-organic fertilizer ratio ( % ) 0% , 25% and 50% , three kinds of lime (slaked lime ) level of 0,285 and 570 kg / ha, . The main findings are as follows : 1 , bio-organic fertilizer can increase soil organic matter , available N and available K content , while the application of lime to reduce soil organic matter , available N , and available K content . Bio-organic fertilizer can improve soil invertase activity , but to some extent inhibited catalase activity . Pot condition , 100% , 75% and 50 % of bio-organic fertilizer the soil converting enzyme than chemical fertilizer alone increased by 127% , 93.1% and 61.7% , respectively . Application of calcium carbonate can improve soil urease activity , when compared with the non - Shi calcium carbonate , the application of calcium carbonate (1g CaO and 2g of CaO / kg soil) , the bio-organic fertilizer processing urease activity were increased by 34.1% -56.1 % and 25.9% - 101.0% . 3, the application of the appropriate proportion of bio-organic fertilizer can increase the soluble sugar and chlorophyll contents . Compared with the control , field trials , 25% of the bio-organic fertilizer processing soluble sugar content increased by 5.3% ( 76 d) , 50 % of the bio-organic fertilizer total chlorophyll increased by 3.5% ( 116 d) . 75% of the bio-organic fertilizer processing pot experiment total chlorophyll increased by 14.0% ( 90 d). 4 , field trials , compared with the control , bio-organic fertilizer processing leaf N content increased by 12.5 % -13.9 % , leaf K content were lower than that of the control . Liming to reduce leaf N content . 5,25 % bio organic fertilizer production increased by 8.3% compared with the control , starch production increased 8.9% , while the lime is no significant impact on cassava yield and starch yield . In summary , 25 % to 50 % the proportion of bio-organic fertilizer can increase soil organic matter , available N , and available K content , improve invertase activity and cassava production and starch production ; application of lime to improve soil urease activity , but reduce soil organic matter , available N and available K content .
