Objective:Evaluation the long-term(5 years) safety, effectiveness, stability of Laser in-situ Kerotomileusis (LASIK) for correctting myopia up to -3.00D.Methods: 59 eyes of 30 patients with myopia up to -3.00D which were performed LASIK surgery and followed up for five years were accepted.According to their refractive diopter, they are divided into 3 different refractive groups: medium, high, super-high myopia group.Their clinical data are used for analysis. Results:The vision safety coefficient of the 59 eyes is 1.01, the effective coefficient is 0.98.55 eyes have a significant refractive regression (> 1.00 D) by following up for 5 years. In the 1th first year, all eyes in 3 refrative groups have the largest and fastest refractive regression.Medium and high myopia group are stable in the 2-5th year, but the super-high myopia group continue to progress. In the 1th year, the CCT increasing related to the corneal surface curvature changing , thus affecting refractive regression. After long-term following up,the growth of ocular axis in super-high myopia is obvious. Postoperative residual corneal matrix bed thickness have a negative correlation with refractive regression. But the age, sex, preoperative astigmatism are unrelated with refractive regression. Conclusion:LASIK surgery is safe, effective, stable for the medium and high myopia ,and it is also very safe for super-high myopia. Myopia up to -3.00D does exist refractive regression, mainly occurs in the 1th year. After the 1th year, the refraction of moderate and high myopia remains stability, but super-high myopia group continue to progress to myopia. This is mainly because the pathological factors of super-high myopia.
