Abstract


Objective: To investigate breast cancer patients with serum vascular endothelial growth factor C ( VEGF - C ) and C - erbB - 2 protein expression in cancer tissues and its clinical significance . Methods: 44 patients with breast cancer were detected by ELISA , 44 cases of benign breast lesions in patients with serum VEGF-C content analysis of the relationship between VEGF-C and clinical indicators ; method to detect breast cancer tissue C - erbB - 2 protein expression by immunohistochemistry . Results: Serum VEGF-C in breast cancer group 227.95 ± 18.21 pg / ml, benign group 176.97 ± 11.23 pg / ml , the difference was significant ( P lt ; 0.01 ) . 2 breast cancer patients with preoperative serum VEGF-C content mean 277.95 ± 18.21pg/ml, after January VEGF - C content means for the of 212.45 ± 12.86pg / ml , the difference between the two groups was significant ( P lt ; 0.01 ) . Primary tumor stage ( TNM ) : I - III and IV of VEGF-C levels were 221.27 ± 30.47,275.22 , ± 22.25,398.16 ± 40.65 pg / ml , Ⅲ and Ⅳ patients with VEGF - C content was significantly higher than I Phase II ( P lt ; 0.05 ) ; II patients with VEGF-C was significantly higher than that of I ( P LT ; 0.05 ) . 4 ipsilateral axillary lymph node metastasis : without lymph node metastasis in 24 cases , VEGF - C content was 252.25 ± 22.94 pg / ml ; lymph node metastasis in 20 cases , VEGF - C content was 308.79 ± 28.20 pg / ml , the two groups showed no significant ( P gt ; 0.05 ) 5. C-erbB-2 protein expression in breast cancer was 50.00% , significantly higher than benign breast lesions ( 11.00 % ) ( P lt ; 0.01 ) 6 breast cancer ipsilateral axillary lymph node metastasis group C - erbB -2 protein expression rate ( 70.00% ) was significantly higher than non - ipsilateral axillary lymph node metastasis ( 33.33% ) , the difference was significant ( P lt ; 0.05). Serum VEGF-C content increased with C - erbB - 2 positive intensity increased cancer tissue , both of which were positively correlated ( r = 0.826 , p lt ; 0.05 ) Conclusion: Serum VEGF-C content may be differentiating benign and malignant lesions , surgery to determine the efficacy and prognosis assisted one of the indicators . C - erbB - 2 protein detection may also become one of the supplementary indicators to identify benign and malignant breast lesions and to determine whether the ipsilateral axillary lymph node metastasis . In the development of breast cancer VEGF-C and C - erbB - 2 may be there is a synergistic effect.
