Abstract


Objective: Percutaneous Laser Disc Decompression surgery (PLDD) and fenestration discectomy for treatment of simple lumbar disc herniation (LDH), investigate the therapeutic effect of the two treatments , designed to select the appropriate patients with LDH treatment methods provide a theoretical basis . Methods: in our hospital from October 2005 to April 2007 simple lumbar disc herniation treated patients 126 cases , all cases will be numbered sequentially after randomly into PLDD by statistical software group and the window group , which employs percutaneous vaporization laser disc decompression (PLDD) treated 52 patients , the use of fenestration in patients treated 74 cases , collecting preoperative and postoperative VAS values ??limb two weeks straight leg raising degrees , respectively, in patients two weeks and three months as an early and interim efficacy evaluation . Using SPSS14.0 version of the software , through statistical analysis and comparison of the clinical efficacy of the two treatments . Results : 1.PLDD VAS values ??before and after treatment were significantly different (P lt; 0.05); window before and after treatment VAS values ??are significantly different (P lt; 0.05); PLDD degrees straight leg raising before and after treatment were significantly difference (P lt; 0.05); wINDOW degrees straight leg raising before and after treatment were significantly different (P lt; 0.05). 2.PLDD patients VAS value and straight-leg raising windows degrees compared with the same period , there was no significant difference (P gt; 0.05). 3 patients were followed up to 3 months after surgery , the basic collection of patient data . Low back pain by China Academy of Orthopaedic Surgery evaluation criteria, excellent short-term efficacy PLDD group was 75.0% , excellent rate was 67.6% in group window ; interim efficacy PLDD group excellent rate of 88.5% , excellent rate of 73.0% Window group , medium-term excellent rate of the two groups were significantly different (P lt; 0.05). Conclusions: Percutaneous Laser Disc Decompression surgery and fenestration discectomy for treatment of simple lumbar disc herniation, can effectively relieve pain and improve patient straight leg raising degree , the role of both methods is indeed , effective and reliable , complications less . Early postoperative PLDD can achieve good therapeutic effect , medium group of high- quality rate than windows , and has the advantages of minimally invasive , simple treatment of lumbar disc herniation effective means.
