Abstract


Northeast Ginseng-girl folktales, an important oral narrative literary type of the northeast Ginseng folktales, has noticeable glamour in China’s folk literature.It is the important research materials of northeast folk literature.If we limit it in narrow folktale to study,we can discover it has numerous same or similar head-titles with“Luonv”story.According to the clues that the historical data provided,we carry on research on the process about occurrence and development,spread and change of the tow stories,we can calculate that Ginseng-girl folktales may be a formation under the influence of“Luonv”story which is spreaded to the White Mountainous,especially because of the“localization”of the“luonv”story.The above-mentioned standpoints are the foundation of this text’s argument.This paper pays attention to the variation of the main plot units(head-titles),and carries on detailed review to several kinds of important second types,the situation mixed with other story types,several kinds of roles’ main function in the story,and has explain the meaning,the function and the abundant cultural value contained of several relatively important head-titles in the folktales. This text thinks that the roles in northeast Ginseng-girl folktales can be divided into those three kinds:the person who is helped, the murderer,the helper.Using Vladimir Propp’s theory about role’s function,we can find out their different functions in development of the folktales clearly.Therefore we can draw such a conclusion: so long as the function which these roles should have can play normally in the whole telling course, the persons who tell can deduce out hundreds and thousands of different Ginseng-girl folktales.The paper also studies a topic favored in the mythology field in terms of mythological thinking: Ginseng-girl folktales can pass on China’s ancient mythical themes consciously,the main reason is that this kind of illusory story pays close attention to the unrational thing in mythological thinking such as passion, imagination, subjective feeling, psychological experience reappears vividly in human emotion world.This causes that it cares about mankind’s true surviving which is similar to original myth,therefore it can give high-level care and warm comfort to mankind on the spiritual dimension.The paper has four chapters,and describes following questions sequentially about the main story details and several important second types, the situation mixed with other story types,the main function of several kinds of roles,the inheritance to mythical themes and modern thinking of the inheritance. Besides the argument involved in the paper,we should do further profound research on telling situation,the transformation of narrative pattern of northeast Ginseng-girl folktales under the great background in which plural culture influence each other.This is the question that the author will continue thinking,exploring in the future,and he looks forward to getting the expert’s help earnestly.
