Abstract


By adopting Feminist Critical Theory, especially the Postmodernism- Feminst Theory appeared at the second half of the 20th century . This thesis analyzes three typical images of women in the novel of Yan Geling, who is a feminine writer living abroad, for researching the transformation with creative mood and creative trait in three different phases （domestic phase, overseas phase and current phase） of Yan Geling. Then, analyzes the culture connotation reflected by the images of women.Through careful study, this conclusion is reached :Yan Geling try hard to portray images of women in an objective way, showing the nature of women and their diversified characteristics, pay attention to the living state of the little, apperceive the truth of the history and disprove the men-right. What’s more, as a Chinese authoress who living abroad, and facing the stress of collision of distinct culture, Yan Geling offer mental support to the disadvantaged groups via portraying images of women with Chinese traditional virtue.
