Abstract

Sino-Japanese relations is an important part of international relations is the focus of China's foreign relations , Sino-Japanese government and people attach great importance to . 1990s , lasted nearly half a century -long confrontation between the two camps the Cold War ended , along with the Sino-Japanese bilateral relations gradually turned to the development stage of the twists and turns from friendly honeymoon period for the mainstream . After the end of the Cold War , Japan was the first to break the Western sanctions against China , and the full restoration of the relationship between Western countries and China ; relations between the two countries is also a turning point in the development in the late 1990s - easing . In the 21st century , during the former Japanese Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi 's ruling , the Sino-Japanese relations down to the lowest point since the establishment of diplomatic relations , Sino-Japanese summit visits interruption for five years , deepening misunderstandings and contradictions between nations and Japan , more complex understanding of history , the Taiwan issue and maritime rights and interests disputes factor restricting the development of Sino-Japanese relations in the said relations had a wholesale retreat .
