Abstract


Objective: To investigate the treatment effects of the standardized nutritional support on the patients in ICU.Methods:The control group which included the patients ranged from October 1, 2010 to January 1, 2011 was supported by traditional nutritional treatment without standardized nutritional support in ICU. The experiment group which included the patients ranged from January 1 to March 31 in 2011 was given standardized nutrition support treatment individualized. The nutritional support status, biochemical indexes (ALB and PA), mechanical ventulation time,the mean ICU hospital stay time, complications and mortality were determined in various groups.Results: Compared with the control group, the percentage of patients who achieved the anticipative nutrition support indicators in experiment group increased markedly, which were given nutrition support within 48 hours in 3 days(P<0.05,P<0.05);.The incidence of hypoalbuminemia and the expression of ALB are obviously decreased (P < 0.05; P<0.05). Level of PA in the patients of experimental group recovered gradually especially on the 10th day after nutritional support (P < 0.05). The mechanical ventulation time, hospital stay time, complications and mortality in experiment group is decreased significantly compared with the control group(P<0.05,P<0.05,P<0.05,P<0.05)。Conclusion: Standardized nutritional support intervention can improve the nutritional status;reduce the complications and mortality;shorten the MV time and the mean hospital stay time of critically ill patients in ICU. The above results indicate that standardized nutritional support can play an important role in the therapy of patients in ICU.
