OBJECTIVETo explore the prevention, management and appropriate delivery time and methods in patients with eclampsia in order to reduce the mortality of pregnant and lying-in women and perineonates.METHODSClicical data of 37 cases with eclampsia were retrospective analysed from July 1999 to June 2009.RESULTS37 cases of 17307 deliveries got the eclampsia. The incidence of eclampsia was 0.214%. 18(48.65%) cases occurred antenatally , 4(10.81%) cases during labor ,15(40.54%) cases postnatally . 24 cases occurred the neonatal asphyxia ,the incidence of neonatal asphyxia was 60.00%, 1 perinatal infant was dead, the incidence of perinatal infant death was 2.50%. Of 37 eclampsia patients, 30 cases of pregnant and lying-in women did not receive prenatal examination, 8 cases of pregnant women were not confined in hospital. 25 cases had pregnant and lying-in women complications, no pregnant and lying-in women was dead . There was lower incidence of neonatal asphyxia in cesaream section in 2-6 hours after controlled of seizures in prior of delivery and labor with eclampsia. There was lower incidence of eclampsia in cesaream section than those in vaginal delivery.CONCLUSIONSSystematic prenatal examination, strengthening the follow-up of severe pregnant and lying-in women, early discovering and management of hypertensive disorders complicating pregnancy, timely delivery after controlled of seizures will improve the perinatal outcome of mothers with eclampsia and their infants.
