Abstract


Since the reform and opening up , China 's urbanization process accelerated , the increase in the urban population and the expansion of the scale of urban land must have a greater demand on the city roads and traffic . With the development of the urban economy , the Metropolitan Transportation increasingly tense situation , to some extent affect the further development and improvement of people's living standards and the quality of the urban economy . City traffic has been plagued by some of the major cities of the public and government departments , people are constantly trying to find countermeasures to solve the urban traffic congestion and an effective way out of the woods . Almost all countries in the Metropolitan Transportation has undergone a tortuous clearly chose to give priority to the development of urban public transport policy . Urban public transport arteries of the modern city , it is closely related to the national economy and people's lives , but also in recent years, one of the hot city . Fuzhou, capital city of Fujian Province , under the impetus of the situation of reform and opening up , the internal and external environment of urban construction occurred great changes in the urban area and the size of the urban population continues to expand , the surge in motor vehicle , Fuzhou level of urbanization and the development of public transport many contradictions between the status quo , the development of public transport can not keep up the pace of the progress of urbanization . In this paper, to study the mutual relations of the Fuzhou City public transport development and urbanization , Fuzhou City public transport status quo, to predict the future development suitable Fuzhou City public transport modes .
