Abstract


In the narrative field of study , the role of the unreliable narrator in the novels of this literary style is one of the scholars at home and abroad in recent years , the research focus . More to combing these studies the theory of the unreliable narrator development context and induction of unreliable narrator type for emphasis , instead the reliable narrator construct meaning of specific works is relatively rare . This article is from the latter point of view , that is not a reliable narrator of the classical theory , explore Faulkner representative works \This research method is based on the theory of leading academics in the field of narratology Booth and Phelan rely on the main characters in the novel in Bangui , Quentin , Jason , to portray the image of theme reflects the aesthetic value the other three angles demonstrated unreliable narrator key role in the work as a research perspective . Through the above research , the conclusions drawn in this article are unreliable narrator as an effective means of narrative , fully embodies the William Faulkner \differences , reveals the chaotic nature of modern life .
