Abstract


Since the reform and opening up , Chinese citizens to participate in the depth and breadth to continuously improve with the development of market economy and the rise of civil society , in order to promote the process of democracy and the rule of law in China has played a positive role in promoting . However, due to the reason of traditional legal culture and civil society immature , Chinese citizens involved in legal mechanism , there are many problems , affecting the level of citizen participation and effectiveness . System to protect the citizen participation in the process of China 's rule of law should be strengthened to promote the interaction of citizens and public power , expand the democratic political space , foster civil society , give full play to the functions of the autonomy of the citizens , to get rid of the plight of the citizens ' participation in legal mechanism .
