Abstract


English and Chinese are two kinds of languages which produced and developed in different cultural backgrounds, and their vocabularies also contain distinct cultural connotation. And we know that vocabulary just like bricks and tiles in the building of language, so when we learn language, studying of words is crucial, at the same time, more and more language learners recognized the importance of cultural connotation in studying of words. This paper from the point of view of culture to explore and seek the vocabulary of《HanyuJiaocheng》, and find out some words which contain completely different cultural connotation, some words which contain similar cultural connotation, some have the same connotation compared with English. And than seek for better way of teaching of these words in learning Chinese as a foreign language.
