Abstract


The video surveillance system is an advanced , integrated system of prevention ability . It directly through the remote control cameras and auxiliary equipment ( lens , pan , etc. ) to watch all monitoring sites , at the same time monitoring place image content can be transmitted to the monitoring center , real-time remote monitoring . With the rapid development of computer, networking and image processing , transmission technology , video surveillance technology has also been a rapid development of video surveillance into a fully digital network era , traditional analog video surveillance systems and PC-based digital video surveillance system has not meet the needs of the development of modern society , and become a new trend in the development of video surveillance systems , network video surveillance system based on embedded technology has broad application prospects and practical value . This paper summarizes the analysis results of previous studies based on in-depth systematic study of ARM and Linux - based embedded systems development technology , given the overall design and functional planning based on ARM embedded video server , including hardware structure and software architecture , software design based on B / S (Browser / Server) client service mechanism greatly reduces the hardware and software requirements of the client . Then introduces embedded Linux cross-compiler environment structures and embedded software development process , build transplantation through the BootLoader configuration programming and Linux kernel compiled , embedded software platform developed by the video server is running . Finally, a detailed analysis of the embedded video server software part of the design ideas of the various functional modules to achieve its key code , video image acquisition using Linux video4linux APIs and network transmission of video data using UDP-based IP Multicast and video the image display module with a self - designed and implemented based IPicture COM interface ActiveX controls , ease of maintenance , updates and upgrades . In this paper, the design of ARM-based embedded video server installation settings convenient remote client users through the IE browser can directly access the server , real - time video image transmission fluid , no significant jitter , has good stability , a higher cost and a certain practical value.
