The subject of Inner Mongolia University of Science and Technology College of Mining Engineering and the Shenhua Group Haibowan mining companies collaborative research project. The existing Road pit mining reserves are limited, according to the original short face arrangement, leaving in section protection pillar too, the loss of coal resources. In order to further improve the yield level of the face, reducing the number of face moves to reduce mining costs, to reduce the loss of resources, face lengthened to 300m mining, but the roof management more difficult, strata behavior regularity is different from the ordinary face. Computer numerical simulation studies and field measurement of thick coal seam fully mechanized coal caving working strata behavior regularity and stress distribution law of the in-depth study. Obtained fully mechanized caving face top coal board mine pressure behavior law, the top coal board migration law, the law of stress distribution, Roadway in as well as between the adjacent face protection pillar leaving in a reasonable width. 1604 long face immediate roof first weighting away from 18m to 22m, roof first weighting step away from 27m to 30m, roof cycle pressure step away from 9m to 12m. Face lengthened, roof pressure appear showing the characteristics of the middle of the face of advance, face close to both ends of the head lag. When the face advance about 30m, the coal wall film to help speed up the face of the advance and improve the working face resistance is an effective means of prevention and treatment of roof fall accidents and reduce coal wall spalling. Face both ends of the head side of about 7m formed where a stress concentration zone, stress size 4 ~ 5 MPa, this becomes a cross \breaking in the direction of the face forward, breaking the rear like a \The stress did not reach the size of the limit load of coal pillar, so does not affect production. Analysis of the Road, Tin Mine 1604 long face and lower face between leaving in the protective pillar size should be 9 to 10m. The research for the extra-long fully mechanized caving face rock pressure control design, bracket selection and protection of coal pillar size optimization provides a theoretical basis, to improve the fully mechanized caving face coal recovery has important practical significance for other similar conditions under the fully mechanized caving face provides a useful reference, and have a higher value.
