Abstract


Background: neuropsychological studies confirm the presence of sleep disorders in patients with depression, reflected in the waking, sleep time, decreased sleep quality, to maintain sleep difficulties and lack of sleep sense. Depression in patients with sleep disorders affected by many factors, including the age factor by aging, hypoxemia affect sleep, so for depression in patients of different ages, the clinical features and severity of the sleep disorders different, but this systemic clinical study, there are few. Objective: To investigate the sleep quality of patients with depression to study the correlation between the degree of sleep disturbance and depression level, characteristics of different age segment depression in patients with sleep disorders. Explore the age factor and sleep disorders as well as the characteristics of elderly patients with depression sleep disorder. Method: The subjects were divided into depression and control groups, again in accordance with the actual age of the depression group and the control group were divided into 20-40 years ,41-60 years old and ≥ 17 Hamilton Depression Rating Scale (HAMD) was 61-year-old three groups, respectively, the group using the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI) questionnaire investigated sleep, the application of the 2 × 3 factorial design, comparing six test group PSQI score and PSQI score between each factor score differences SPSS11.0 statistical software for data analysis. Results: 1. Subjects, age and depression affect the quality of sleep (cause sleep disorders), two main factors. The PSQI is general subjects main effect of the presence of depression and age, but no significant interaction between the two. Depression group and the control group population, there are separate effects of age, the elderly group compared with the green, the middle-aged group, a statistically significant difference. Seven PSQI internal factors, the main effects of depression and age, as well as both the interaction exists; separate effects of age and the presence of depression group, the main differences between elderly patients with Green, middle-aged patients . Subjects in each age group Pittsburgh scoring seven factors, there are separate effects of depression. Conclusion: With age, health, and depression in patients with sleep quality are reduced trend. Depression in patients with sleep quality than the same age healthy people decline. Depressed patients of different ages decreased sleep quality, and elderly patients with depression decreased sleep quality than young adult patients with depression. Compared with young adult patients with depression in elderly patients with depression sleep time was significantly shortened significantly lower sleep efficiency, sleep disorders performed significantly more inclined to use hypnotic drugs.
