Abstract

The conception of historical materialism is created by Marx and Engels. Through a series of inherently link categories and relying on strict logic reasoning, the conception of historical materialism interpretates the human society and the development of the history, reveals the developing course and the general laws of human society and forms a complete, scientific academic system. Its core idea is the realistic people and their historical development. At the end of the nineteenth Century and the beginning of twentieth Century along with the wave of the introduction of Western theories to the east, Marxist pioneers such as Li Dazhao, Chen Duxiu, Qu Qiubai, Li Da introduced it into China. The Communist Party of China accepted, spreaded and applicated it. The reasons why historical materialism is able to spread in China is based on historical materialism’s practical, scientific, critical and open characters on the one hand and on the needs of the modern country on the other hand. In the course of Chinese people choicing the path of salvaging the country, the Communist Party of China selected the conception of historical materialism. The developing history of the Chinese Communist Party is meantime the history of the Chinese revolution, construction and reform integrating with the conception of historical materialism. "Taking history as a mirror, one can know the rise and fall". This paper attempts to find the application and implementation of historical materialism in the hundred years of Chinese history and sum up the two aspects of positive and negative experiences and lessons in the Chinese specific national conditions. In order to carry and develop the historical materialism the paper also attempts to understand and treat the historical materialism correctly and grasps its essence. Further it explores and sums up the developing process of the Marxism doctrine in China. Finally it realizes the butt of historical materialism and Chinese practice and comprehensively promotes the vigorous development of our socialist cause. From the socialist revolution to the socialist construction of the socialist reform, Chinese Communists always hold the banner of Marxism theory and adhere to the guidance of historical materialism. They firmly grasp the theme of the era. During the period of democratic revolution and under the "revolution and war" theme of our times, the Communist Party of China link the conception of historical materialism with the Chinese revolution practice, pave a suitable way for Chinese national conditions, overthrow "three mountains" which oppress the Chinese people in a long time, found the people’s democratic dictatorship of the Republic of China. From the socialist revolution to the socialist construction of the socialist reform, Chinese Communists always hold the banner of Marxism theory and adhere to the guidance of historical materialism. They firmly grasp the theme of the era. During the period of democratic revolution and under the "revolution and war" theme of our times, the Communist Party of China link the conception of historical materialism with the Chinese revolution practice, pave a suitable way for Chinese national conditions, overthrow "three mountains" which oppress the Chinese people in a long time, found the people’s democratic dictatorship of the Republic of China. After the founding of new China, the Communist Party of China began to explorate the socialist road difficultly. It has made brilliant achievements. But because of the complex international and domestic political factors it once deviated materialist conception of history course and impact on social developments. The successful experience and fail lessons tells us that socialism can go smoothly only by adhering to the guidance of historical materialism. Facing the "peace and development" theme of the times in the new situations since the Third Plenary Session of the eleven, the Communist Party of China explore the true nature of socialism and solve the problem how to build and develop the socialist problems in such difficult course. The Marxist theory links with the Chinese concrete practice process and finally form the Chinese socialism theoretical system with our characteristics. With the review of historical materialism in Chinese development and dissemination in one hundred years, we discover that the key factor is its combining with the reality of China. We accurately recognize that the fundamental premise of spreading and application of historical materialism is Chinese actual national condition."Emancipating the mind, seeking truth from facts, keeping pace with the times, seeking truth and being pragmatic" is the cornerstone of materialist conception of history and nature. In a new historical period, the opportunity and challenge coexist. In the process of the construction of socialism with Chinese characteristics, we want to take on the Marx doctrine, fulfil the historical materialism, adhere to the scientific development, make the party rooted in the masses of the people, coordinate social contradiction effectively and implement a comprehensive, harmonious, sustainable developing society.
