Abstract

With the wide application of compressed natural gas (CNG) technology , the long cylindrical gas to a high pressure storage tank , for example, use of different kinds of units of large - scale three-dimensional finite element analysis software ANSYS structural stress analysis and calculations that the tank and dimensions of the optimized design . First , the the tank cylinder head connection area do stress analysis, to accurately solve more complex geometry of these discontinuities , it is difficult to use the analytical method , therefore the use of ANSYS three units were calculated confirm each other each other calculations , as well as the main part of the stress distribution and the theoretical results are compared in order to prove that the whole calculation process is accurate . The basic means of CAE ( Computer Aided Engineering ) - finite element method and optimization techniques , and the two combine , structure engineering analysis feasible design based on two-dimensional the entity PLANE82 unit its further optimized design , from the shape of the structure is optimized to the optimal choice of the design parameters , through this process , to improve product design technical indicators , and to meet the goal of structural lightweight . The results show that : optimized head part down to the quality of the initial 158.53kg 147.58kg, the quality of the entire tank from 1852.18kg 1735.88kg, a 6.28% reduction , optimization effect is obvious .
