Abstract

The overall multi-channel is a major component of the overall reactor to be used for a variety of gas-liquid - solid heterogeneous catalytic reaction process . Compared with conventional heterogeneous reactor , the overall reactor has the advantages of bed pressure drop is small , the concentration gradient and improve mass and heat transfer . Currently, the overall reactor has been widely used in the field of environmental protection of automobile exhaust and industrial emissions of gas processing ; being studied for methanation , water gas shift , steam reforming of hydrocarbons , hydrogenation / dehydrogenation and selective oxidation , etc. process, especially in a three-phase reaction shows great potential for development . However, these studies mostly only in the laboratory level, still some distance away from industrialization . The gas-liquid distribution is a monolithic multi-channel is an important hydrodynamic parameters , mainly for holding parameters such as gas distribution in the radial direction of the overall multi- channel . Gas - liquid distribution factors include imports of gas-liquid flow , multi-channel layout and gas-liquid distribution . First established visual the hydrodynamic measurement method , the method is validated . Visualization of fluid mechanics measurement method using CCD high-speed video camera outflow channels of the Taylor bubble fluid dynamics parameters obtained by analyzing a series of bubbles picture . The results show that , compared with the conventional method , CCD high-speed camera shooting method is a non-invasive method and does not affect the overall multi-channel original internal fluid flow state . Secondly, the overall multi-channel hydrodynamic parameters were measured and analyzed . The the experiment air - water as the medium, to fill the diameter of 2-3mm glass beads 20 mm high bed of the sparger , the superficial liquid velocity of 0.144 - 0.195m / s , the superficial gas velocity of 0.040 - 0.057m / s, the gas-liquid and flows on the operating conditions , the determination of the flow parameters of the gas held in the overall multi-channel aperture 1.086mm 30mm diameter column . The results showed that held gas increases with increasing superficial gas velocity decreases with increasing superficial liquid velocity ; held gas distribution factor decreases with increasing superficial gas velocity , with the the superficial liquid velocity increases .
