Abstract

Homogeneous compression ignition ( Homogeneous Charge Compression Ignition, HCCI) gasoline engine can improve fuel economy and reduce emissions of nitrogen oxides , and thus subject to widespread attention in the field of internal combustion engine research and depth , the internal combustion engine combustion research focus and frontier. HCCI combustion is very sensitive on the thermodynamic state of the chemical state of many factors , the most effective method of control is based on the closed-loop control of the cycle , so the online feedback is critical combustion parameters . Knock sensor in the Si gasoline extensive use , low cost and has little effect on the body when installed . If you can knock sensor as a simple and reliable process of HCCI combustion sensing devices , closed-loop control of the combustion process , is an important means to solve more difficult problems faced by the combustion of real-time control of the HCCI combustion systems practical . Gasoline HCCI engine equipped with variable valve system measured the knock sensor signal of a large number of the HCCI working conditions , the application of fast Fourier transform , Wigner-Ville distribution , from the time domain to the frequency domain and time - frequency domain , using the method of time-frequency analysis , made ??a detailed study of correlation between the knock sensor signal HCCI combustion parameters . Information in the knock signal is extracted from the relevant characterization of the knock signal strength feature amount , such as the peak time domain , frequency domain peak , Wigner-Ville distribution peak , the signal energy of the time domain , frequency domain characterized in - band signal energy , and Characterization of the phase of the feature amount , such as a knock starting phase , the peak phases of the time domain , the Wigner-Ville distribution peak phases and other parameters, the ratio on the correlation between them and HCCI combustion parameters been quantified . The analysis showed that the knock sensor signal HCCI engine combustion parameters have a strong correlation , CA10 knock signal starting phase correlation coefficient as high as 0.97842 . HCCI combustion strength parameter and the energy of the detonation signal parameter has a higher correlation . Wigner-Ville distribution parameters and HCCI combustion parameters also have some relevance . Seen in this light , the knock sensor signal to line extraction HCCI combustion information , it is possible to become a the HCCI engine real-time closed-loop control an economic and feasible solutions
