Engine exhaust noise is one of the main sources of noise , although today muffler technology is relatively mature , but there are some unavoidable defects, and active noise control technology is you can make up for its shortcomings. Active Noise Control technology is the use of digital signal processing technology to achieve destructive interference of sound waves reach electronically controlled silencer end, it has many advantages, has become in recent years the field of engine exhaust noise control a hot spot of concern . This paper studies the active noise control technology in the engine exhaust noise reduction application . First introduced Active Noise concepts, principles , development and research status , and active noise control structure and algorithm analysis and study, and using simulation software MATLAB simulation experiments , and achieved significant noise reduction results. Then, based on digital signal processing technology , the development of active noise control system. The experimental system uses a dual-CPU architecture , DSPVC5402 completed by the adaptive control algorithm , processed by the microcontroller from the ECU parameters and other conditions to determine the optimal active noise control algorithms, parameters and operating mode , adjust the system so that it is new best control effect mode. The control system is designed feedforward and feedback control structure sets , modular hardware and software design , and fully take into account the upgrade, expansion and test functions. The control system can be used to determine the different operating conditions of the engine exhaust muffler active optimal control parameters, operating modes and algorithms. Controller's operating frequency ( processor frequency and AD, DA conversion frequency ), ADC and DAC channel gain channel , the data transfer mode , filters, microphone type and so can be used manually or automatically using the MCU mode adjustments. Manual control of the conditions sought by the best model and algorithm parameters and optimum conditions between control modes can be determined after the automatic adjustment by the MCU . In this last active noise technology also conducted simulation experiments . Respectively different frequency sine wave , and engine exhaust noise signal typical conditions , the use of computer-implemented destructive interference of sound waves , in the whole closed -anechoic chamber experiment results show that a significant active noise technology noise reduction.
