Abstract


Compared with the traditional cryocoolers , such as GM and Stirling , pulse tube refrigerator with no moving parts at low end , has a simple structure , high reliability, long life and other advantages. With the non-destructive liquid hydrogen storage , new superconductor MgB2 and cryogenic pumps rapid development of technology , 20K -zone single-stage GM-type pulse tube refrigerator has a broad application prospects. This article describes the current GM-type pulse tube refrigerator practical situation, and a single- stage GM type pulse tube refrigerator theoretical and experimental studies carried out in order to improve its efficiency and 20K temperature zone cooling capacity and meet the practical requirements . The main contents include the following aspects : 1. REGEN3.3 based on a single-stage pulse tube refrigerator GM numerical calculation and analysis . Calculation and analysis of the low frequency case, the phase angle of the regenerator length , mass flow , lead balls diameter , inflation pressure and the operating frequency for the performance of the regenerator , obtained useful conclusions to guide test . (2) G-M single-stage pulse tube refrigerator Test. On the length of the regenerator , the regenerator temperature zone in 80K the following arrangement of the regenerator material , chillers operating frequency and inflation pressures were optimized. After optimization, the input power 7.5kW , the refrigerator lowest temperature reached 10.6K, which is currently at home and abroad publicly reported single-stage pulse tube refrigerator lowest temperature . The refrigerator can provide 20W at 20.6K cooling capacity . And in the long run the refrigerator temperature fluctuation during the 0.4K, stable performance, can basically meet the practical requirements. 3 flat rotary valve spool improvements. To further improve the reliability of the rotary valve plane , paper presented at the plug and the contact surface of the chassis into four chambers improvement program , without affecting the refrigerating performance in the case , to reduce the wear of the valve spool the torque required to rotate , thus contributing to improve the life of refrigerator .
