Abstract

OTDR ( Optical Time Domain Reflectometer ) Fibre maintenance and test equipment , mainly by the light source and receiver systems , DSP and control systems . Which the OTDR control system is the core of the whole system , in its system under the auspices of the coordination of the various parts . With the OTDR performance requirements to improve the control system , the OTDR is also put forward higher requirements in the control system using the powerful embedded processor and embedded operating system is becoming more and more necessary . This article is to discuss the OTDR ARM - based control system to achieve , belong to the engineering design of the study . The project uses a high-performance ARM9 chip to build a the OTDR control system . In order to meet the ever-increasing demands of the people of the interactive features , the system touch screen input and a high-resolution color LCD display. In order to solve the problem of the failure of the past a large number of lithium battery , the power system of this project on the the OTDR control system improved the original power system based on a lithium battery management functions , to achieve a lithium battery equalization algorithm ; and open / shutdown circuit , power supply circuit and lithium battery management function organically integrated to form a full -featured power management system . This project to build the OTDR control system module work properly after the company tests , especially the power management system introduced to make the system greatly enhanced stability , 500 shocks on / off test system can function properly and charged lithium each cell voltage of the maximum difference of only about 1.5 % of the rated voltage . The system has been constructed in the project through the company's assessment is about to be applied to the actual product .
