Abstract

The fourth order curl has important practical application of the background , for example , it can describe the interaction of charged fluid microscopic scale magnetic field . Currently , the posedness reconciliation on the issue the regular basic theory and corresponding numerical solution is still rare. This paper first gives the background and the derivation of the three-dimensional bounded Lipschitz polyhedral domain on the fourth order curl . Followed by the introduction of appropriate exploratory function spaces and the test function space , the variational problem , proved the selected trial function space (or test function space ) is a Hilbert space and variational problem posedness ; using the vector Sobolev spaces embedded relationship variational problem solution regularity result . Finally , based on Nédélec finite element space , given a problem solving fourth order curl discontinuous finite element (DG) method to establish the basic theory , optimal estimation error .
