Environmental monitoring sites optimized layout is a vital part of the environmental monitoring and quality assurance system , and a reasonable sampling location is a fundamental guarantee to obtain representative data from the space . Huaihe River Water Environment monitoring sites , are laid in the case of a lack of background information , human factors , and the point ones repeatability . With industrial development, population increase , the entire watershed has occurred great changes , it is necessary to adjust and optimize the combination of the original monitoring sites , to make it more scientific and representative , and to conserve manpower, material , fully reflect the purpose of the water quality of the Huaihe River Basin . Firstly, the use of the principle of mathematical statistics , five years from 2003 to 2007 monitoring data , and inter-annual stability of water quality in the Huaihe River 78 monitoring sections and adjacent sectional correlation test . The results showed that , indeed very unstable part of the cross section of some indicators measured value interannual and lot adjacent part of the cross-section of water quality monitoring data showed significant or highly significant correlation , to some extent, reflect a cross-section of the repeat laid . In a reasonable test of the existing section on the basis of the papers according to the principle of \weather, pollution sources layout and environmental management the actual needs and other factors , screening of existing cross-section of each river , eventually identified 48 sections as optimized province controlled sections . At the same time , the use of the five years from 2002 to 2006 monitoring data on each river monitoring data consistency and the differences were significant before and after optimization test to prove that the optimized cross-section series before optimization can replace the cross-section series . Demonstrated by monitoring sections optimization settings , the optimal adjustment of the Huaihe River Water Environment monitoring sites to provide technical reference .
